📬 New Feature: Name Reminders

Get notified when someone leaves a message for you

So I just finished building something I've been thinking about for a while now, and I'm pretty excited about it honestly.

You can now use the Discord bot to get notified when a message is submitted to a specific name on MNS. So say your name is Sarah, join the server, type /remind Sarah, and the bot will DM you whenever a new message comes in addressed to Sarah. Simple as that.

How to get started:

Join the Discord, use /remind your-name and you're set. The bot checks for new submissions every 20 seconds and will DM you with a link to the site the moment something comes in for your name.

Things you can tweak:

  • Watch up to 2 names at a time
  • See a spoiler preview of the message in your DM
  • Show or hide the date and color
  • Pause your reminders without losing your names
  • Manage everything through /remind-manage

I've already set mine up by the way. I'm watching "Phillip" and "creator" so I'll know if anyone leaves me something :)

One thing to keep in mind: make sure your Discord DMs are open, otherwise the bot just can't reach you at all. You can change this in your Discord privacy settings, it takes like 5 seconds.

It's only available on the Discord server.

Free, takes no time to set up, and I think it's actually one of the more useful things I've added to MNS. Hope you guys like it!
