Version 2026-07-07. These terms apply to donations only. They are separate from the site's general Terms of Service.
Donations made on this page go to Kjern, a Norwegian sole proprietorship (enkeltpersonforetak) that runs Messages Never Seen. Donation income is recorded and reported to the Norwegian tax authorities as required by law.
A donation is a voluntary gift to support the running of Messages Never Seen. You do not receive goods, services or any special treatment in return. Being listed on the supporters page is a free and optional way of saying thank you, not a product.
Payments are processed by Stripe, a third party payment provider. We never see or store your card details. The minimum donation is 5 EUR or 5 USD depending on your region. Your bank may apply its own conversion fees if your account uses another currency.
Donations are gifts and are generally not refundable. If you made a mistake, for example a typo in the amount or an accidental duplicate payment, contact us within 14 days at contact@messagesneverseen.com and we will sort it out. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.
Monthly recurring donations are not available yet. When they launch, you will be able to cancel at any time, and these terms will be updated before that happens.
During checkout you can choose whether to be shown on the public supporters page. If you choose to be shown without entering a name, you are listed as Anonymous. A display name is tied to the email you donate with, so nobody else can donate under your name. Names that are offensive, misleading or impersonate someone else can be removed or anonymised by us. You can ask to be removed from the page at any time by emailing us.
If these terms change in a way that matters, the version date at the top changes and the new text applies to donations made after that date. The terms you agreed to are recorded with your donation.
